July 31, 2026: With the publication of the Provisional Entry List, Modena Cento Ore 2026 begins to take shape. The 101 crews currently entered bring together an extraordinary cross-section of motoring history, with cars that have defined different eras set to return to competition from 6 to 11 October in one of the world’s most prestigious events for classic cars. The final entry list will be published shortly before the event, but the provisional line-up already points to an edition of exceptional sporting quality.
A closer look at the list reveals that this year’s event will be filled with compelling rivalries. Shelby Cobras will once again line up side by side, Jaguar E-Types will renew one of historic motorsport’s most enduring contests, and Alfa Romeo GTAms will battle for supremacy. And that is only the beginning. Alfa Romeo 8C Monza, Ferrari 375 MM, Porsche 356, Ferrari 250 SWB, Porsche 911, Ferrari 308 GTB “Michelotto”, Lancia Stratos, Lancia Rally 037, BMW M1 and many other iconic machines will ensure that each day delivers a succession of encounters between some of the greatest names in motoring history.
It is this remarkable concentration of exceptional cars that makes the Provisional Entry List the first genuine preview of the spectacle awaiting competitors and spectators alike.
Precision, concentration and the ability to master every test will be the defining qualities of the Regularity category. With cars built between 1934 and 1981, the Provisional Entry List spans more than four decades of motoring history, from distinguished pre-war models to the outstanding machinery of the 1970s, where absolute precision can prove decisive at every timing point.
The Competition category is divided into two groups, covering the FIA D/E/F (1919-1965) and FIA G/H/I (1966-1981) periods respectively, each with its own classification and dedicated circuit sessions. A field of this calibre, bringing together some of the most significant competition cars in motorsport history, promises an exceptionally close contest and all the ingredients for one of the most fiercely fought editions in recent years.
Over five days of competition, crews will travel from Riccione to Modena. Along the route they will tackle Special Stages on closed roads and Grand Prix events at the Misano, Imola and Mugello circuits. This unique combination has always defined the sporting identity of Modena Cento Ore and remains its most distinctive hallmark.
The provisional entry list reveals the names, cars and pairings already building anticipation for the event. In just a few weeks’ time, those same crews will turn expectation into results over a route of approximately 800 kilometres. Competing against a field of this quality makes victory at Modena Cento Ore an even greater achievement, reaffirming its status as one of the most competitive events on the international historic motorsport calendar.
