When an event encompasses diverse elements &#8211; ranging from thrilling track challenges and special stages on public roads to scenic driving routes and high-quality evenings &#8211; the credit goes to those who can coordinate all aspects with passion and vision.<\/p><p>For the past fourteen years, that person has been Caterina di Giorgio, known as &#8220;Cate&#8221; to her close associates. She is the heart and soul of the Modena Cento Ore. With her vision and meticulous attention to detail, she has contributed to the event becoming an unmissable fixture for motoring enthusiasts. \u201cSince 2012, when Canossa took over, I\u2019ve devoted myself to Modena Cento Ore with ever-increasing care and dedication, keeping pace with its evolution and success,&#8221; Cate explains. &#8220;Over the years, alongside my colleagues and Luigi Orlandini, I\u2019ve worked to understand and anticipate the wishes of those participating in this challenging event\u2014a mix of road challenges and racetrack sessions in incredible cars that have made motorsport history. This vision has led our team to strengthen ties with circuits and include legendary motorsport venues such as Imola, Mugello, and Misano.\u201d<\/p><p>When asked about the magic of the Modena Cento Ore, Cate does not hesitate to share her thoughts: \u201cIt\u2019s the combination of real racing, carefully selected scenic roads, and convivial evenings &#8211; all of which are always of the highest standard. Just think of Florence, for instance, where dinner is held in the magnificent Sala dei 500 at Palazzo Vecchio.\u201d The format is demanding but not exhausting, she explains, noting that scheduling the event in October allows the day\u2019s stages to finish early enough for participants to relax and enjoy their evenings.<\/p><p>\u201cWhat\u2019s the most challenging aspect of organizing an event of this size?\u201d Caterina says. \u201cAbove all, it\u2019s securing agreements with the circuits &#8211; they all need to be available during the same week. Once we achieve that, we can proceed to shape the overall route: identifying the Special Stages on the road, finding evocative locations to pass through, and coordinating with all other departments at Canossa\u2014from Hospitality to Customer Care and Logistics. It requires months of work by a large team, but as the past years have shown, it is all rewarded with immense satisfaction.\u201d<\/p><p>The countdown is now on for October 5 in Rome, when the Modena Cento Ore 2025 will set off.
