Modena Cento Ore 2025: Day 2, Tuesday, October 7th

Stephan and Matthias Jocher remain in the lead on day two, but the battle behind them is fierce. Tomorrow the Modena Cento Ore heads to Mugello, a challenging test awaits.

October 7, 2025: Tuesday, October 7 marked the second day of competition in the 25th edition of the Modena Cento Ore, featuring a circuit race at the Magione Autodrome and two special stages in Tuscany, across the mountains of Arezzo. In the evening, after helmets and racing suits were set aside, participants gathered for a magnificent gala dinner in the Salone dei Cinquecento at Palazzo Vecchio, in the heart of Florence.

It was a dry day, with chilly temperatures in the morning at Magione that later gave way to clear skies and mild sunshine. On the demanding and twisty Umbrian circuit, four races were held, two for each period grouping (D-E-F and G-H-I). The frontrunners confirmed their form with another victory, after Vallelunga, by Stephan and Matthias Jocher in the Opel Ascona 400 Conrero. A strong performance also from Richard and Raffaella Cook, who took second place in their Shelby American Cobra for the Pursuit Racing team, after finishing fifth yesterday at Vallelunga. Once again, Mr John of B and Sibel clinched third at the chequered flag with their Porsche Carrera 6 for the John of B team.

A slight step back on the tricky Umbrian circuit for Jeremy Lancksweert and Christophe Van Riet in their Ferrari 365 GTB4, who finished fourth after taking second place on the Roman track. Entering the top ten with an excellent sixth place were Glenn and Conrad Janssens in their Ferrari 308 GTB, followed by Charly and Olly Birkett, tenth in their AC Cobra. After lunch in the hills overlooking Lake Trasimeno, the cars headed toward the historic center of Cortona for a scenic passage. The mountains of the Arezzo province then hosted the day’s two scheduled special stages.

It was impossible not to mention the Belgian double in the special stages: after their day 1 win in Vetralla, Glenn and Conrad Janssens, in their Ferrari 308 GTB for the Trafiroad team, set the fastest times in both the Portole (SS3) and Rassinata (SS4) stages. Afterwards, the crews reached the city of Arezzo for another spectacular parade.

In the Competition standings for day two, Stephan and Matthias Jocher still lead the way. Glenn and Conrad Janssens hold on to second place. The third step of the podium now goes to James Crossland and Robert Brooks, driving the Ferrari 308 GTB “Michelotto” for the GTO Engineering team, helped by two third-place finishes in today’s special stages.

In the Regularity category, Americans Jeffery Gault and Raffaele Conti continue to lead in their Jaguar XK 140. Moving up to second are the British duo John Dickson and Myles Castaldini with their Aston Martin Vantage, while Americans Alexander Marmureanu and Laura Huettner retain third place in their Jaguar E-Type.

Tomorrow, October 8, the race heads to the Mugello Circuit, one of the drivers’ favorites for its technical and flowing layout. This challenge will be joined by two special stages through the Apennines, taking competitors all the way to Romagna. The evening will conclude with the arrival in Milano Marittima, another memorable day in sight.
