August 26, 2025: “The concept behind Modena Cento Ore is truly one of a kind: five days of driving through the most beautiful country in the world – across Lazio, Umbria, Tuscany, Marche, and Emilia – including a detour through the Republic of San Marino – competing on five circuits as varied as they are thrilling – Vallelunga, Magione, Mugello, Misano, and Imola – and in 10 Special Stages. It’s an experience like no other. And this year, on the Sunday before the start, the cars, complete with race numbers and crews, will celebrate the 25th edition by parading through the wonders of Rome…” It’s hard to stop Marcello Ferrari, the man in charge of Marketing for Canossa events, freshly back from a reconnaissance mission that has officially “christened” the 2025 edition of the event.
The race format is demanding, whether one signs up for the Competition section or the Regularity one. “Obviously, the speed rankings hold few secrets: they’re determined by the sum of the times from the various races, broken down by period and performance index. But regularity isn’t any easier – on the track, you must lap to the hundredth of a second, and during the Average Speed Tests, you must adhere to the required speed,” Marcello continues.
And let’s not forget that driving certain models is no easy task, even if their presence adds to the myth of the event. “There are challenges within the challenge – just think of the six pre-war Alfa 8Cs on the starting line… a race within the race.”
Over the years, Canossa has made Modena Cento Ore an international affair, and its success has grown exponentially. “The fact that only one hundred cars are accepted ensures a selection of excellence, offering a truly unique show: the British, Germans, and Americans are the most numerous, along with many other Europeans and, often, enthusiasts from the East as well.”
Does it come as a surprise that a significant number of participants return year after year? Absolutely not. In life, truly unmissable experiences are rare. Once discovered, and lived from the inside, how could you ever miss it?
