October 6, 2025: From Rome, the convoy of cars set off towards the Vallelunga Circuit, where the excitement began with free practice sessions, qualifying rounds, and the first races.
In the afternoon, the rally continued with two thrilling special stages across Lazio and Umbria, leading to the magnificent Assisi, the perfect setting to close the opening day
At Vallelunga Circuit, under clear blue skies and warm autumn sunshine, drivers and teams delivered spectacular racing action. Taking both pole position and victory in the opening race were the German duo Stephan and Matthias Jocher of Team Jocher Racing, driving their Opel Ascona 400 Conrero.
After lunch by the scenic Lake Vico, the caravan headed into the first special stage in Vetralla, won by the Belgian pairing Glenn and Conrad Janssens in their Ferrari 308 GTB for Trafiroad Rallyteam. The competitors then paraded through the historic centers of Viterbo and Orvieto, greeted by enthusiastic crowds, before tackling the second special stage in Colonnetta, where the Jocher duo once again came out on top, strengthening their overall lead.
In the Competition category, the German duo Stephan and Matthias Jocher claimed first place with their Opel Ascona 400 Conrero for Team Jocher Racing. They were followed by the Belgians Glenn and Conrad Janssens, second in their Ferrari 308 GTB for Team Trafiroad Rallyteam, while the British pair Richard and Raffaella Cook secured third position with their Shelby American Cobra for Team Pursuit Racing.
In the Regularity category, victory went to the American crew Jeffery Gault and Raffaele Conti in a Jaguar XK 140. The French team Yves Sgubbi and Richard Attié took second place in their Porsche 356, while third went to another American pairing, Alexander Marmureanu and Laura Huettner, driving a Jaguar E-Type.
Tomorrow, October 7, the Modena Cento Ore continues with another exciting leg: competitors will take to the track at the Autodromo dell’Umbria in Magione, before heading through the scenic Tuscan countryside towards Florence, the final destination of Day 2.
