While it is true that the strengths on show had been evident from day one, it is also true that today’s special stages still shuffled the cards at the top of the standings. Along the Apennines from Versilia to Emilia, the crews tackled no fewer than four special stages: Passo del Vestito, Careggine, Vagli and Passo delle Radici. The day had started early from Forte dei Marmi, after the Modena Cento Ore had completed the Adriatic-Tyrrhenian coast to coast the previous evening. Before and after the special stages, the participants’ stunning classic cars brought the towns of Massa, Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, Piandelagotti and Sassuolo to life as they passed through. In the afternoon came the arrival in Modena, greeted by an enormous crowd.

The day came to a close with the gala dinner at the Palazzo Ducale in Modena, home of the Military Academy. Now we look forward to seeing you next year!
