15 September 2026 – Modena Cento Ore gets under way from Riccione on Wednesday 7 October, following an opening day dedicated to the display of the cars in Piazzale Roma, accreditation and scrutineering. It is here, overlooking the Adriatic, that the journey truly begins. The cars leave the coast behind and steadily gain altitude as they enter Montefeltro and the Apennines, with the sporting challenge intertwined from the very first hours with the character of the places along the route.
San Marino provides the first landmark, with a parade through the heart of the ancient Republic ahead of the opening Special Stage. From there, the Cento Ore crosses Montefeltro, reaches Pennabilli and climbs to the 1,000-metre Passo della Cantoniera before descending towards Urbania, a town renowned for its maiolica and long-established craft traditions. The second Special Stage then leads towards Urbino, where lunch in Raphael’s city offers an interlude immersed in Renaissance heritage before attention returns firmly to the stopwatch.
In the afternoon, Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli transforms the pace of the day. The Romagna circuit demands speed, precision and concentration, placing the crews in the intensity of direct competition. The tempo remains high until the end of the track action, when a sunset apericena at the circuit marks the transition to a more relaxed atmosphere before the return to Riccione.
On Thursday 8 October, competition resumes at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola. It is one of the most eagerly awaited moments of these opening days, with the crews once again going head-to-head, lap after lap, at a venue steeped in motor racing history. Lunch at the Museo Checco Costa extends their time in a place deeply connected with motoring culture before the cars continue their journey towards the Apennines.
Parades through the centre of Imola and, against the backdrop of the Castello degli Alidosi, through Castel del Rio mark the return towards the Special Stages. The third and fourth stages of the 2026 event place the crews on entirely different terrain, where rhythm, precision and adaptability once again make the difference. In the space of just a few hours, the sequence brings together two distinct sides of the Cento Ore, united by the same competitive intensity yet experienced in profoundly different ways.
At the end of the stages, the cars reach parc fermé at Mugello Circuit, while the crews continue by shuttle to Florence. A gala evening in the heart of the city brings a final shift in tone, more intimate and convivial after two days filled with kilometres, concentration and constant transitions between circuits, historic towns and Apennine roads. The Cento Ore arrives in the heart of the Renaissance with the journey still unfolding and new challenges already waiting ahead.
