Green light for the Modena Cento Ore 2026,Canossa’s racing event for historic cars

3 iconic circuits, 10 special stages, 100 crews, almost 1,000 kilometres and the magic of a Coast to Coast through the beauty of Emilia-Romagna, Marche and Tuscany

5 October 2026 – Everything is ready in Riccione for the start of the Modena Cento Ore 2026. One hundred crews, each at the wheel of their own historic car, are about to set off on a racing adventure like no other, one that every year draws thousands of enthusiasts to the roads and circuits, eager to see (and hear) these magnificent machines.

The Modena Cento Ore, organised by Canossa Events in collaboration with Scuderia Tricolore, is an event for historic cars that was first held in 2000 and has since established itself as one of the most prestigious on the international calendar and the only one of its kind in Italy. Its format blends circuit races and special stages, bringing together leading collectors and gentlemen drivers from around the world for a week-long journey across Italy. It is a unique opportunity to pair sport and driving with an unforgettable travel experience of landscapes, history, culture, art, food and wine, which naturally also promotes the regions along the route.

As tradition demands, the outstanding cars selected are divided into two sections, Competition and Regularity, which share the same roads and programme but differ in the type of challenge. In Competition, participants compete on pure performance, with classifications for the circuit races and for the hillclimb special stages on closed roads. In Regularity, precision and balance behind the wheel are rewarded. Both sections feature true masterpieces of automotive history this year, spanning the 1930s to the 1980s. All the great names of motorsport are represented, from Ferrari to Jaguar, Alfa Romeo to Porsche, Maserati to Lancia, and De Tomaso to BMW. Two remarkable entries will bring the futuristic allure of 1930s racing cars to the event: an Alfa Romeo 8C Monza and a Bentley 4 ¼ Litre. More than 90% of the hundred crews come from abroad, drawn as ever by the event’s winning formula, which combines the thrill of racing with the pleasure of high-end travel for one hundred truly unforgettable hours. The United Kingdom, Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Portugal, Austria, the United States, Australia, Canada, Brazil, Argentina and Lebanon are just some of the countries represented.

Running from 6 to 11 October, the 2026 edition of the Modena Cento Ore will follow an exciting new “Coast to Coast” route from Riccione to Forte dei Marmi, before finishing in the capital of the Motor Valley: Modena.

The opening day is Tuesday, 6 October, with arrivals in Riccione and the cars on display in Piazzale Roma. The start is set for Wednesday, 7 October, when the crews will travel through the Republic of San Marino, San Leo, Pennabilli, the Passo della Cantoniera, Urbania and Urbino, Raphael’s birthplace, which will host lunch. In the afternoon, the Modena Cento Ore will pass through the gates of the legendary Misano World Circuit for the first track race, before returning to Riccione in the evening.

On Thursday, 8 October, the crews will leave the coast. The first stop is the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola for the second race, followed by lunch at the Museo Checco Costa. The route then crosses the Apennines through Castel del Rio, Monte Faggiola and the Passo Sambuca, arriving at Mugello. In the evening, the magic of Florence will set the stage for the Gala Dinner.

Friday, 9 October brings the final circuit race, this time on the legendary undulations of Mugello. After passing through Scarperia, the Modena Cento Ore will head for the Tyrrhenian coast via Capannori, San Rocco and Isola Santa, in the heart of the Garfagnana. The day ends in Forte dei Marmi, the pearl of Versilia, completing the coast-to-coast crossing.

On Saturday, 10 October, as is customary for the event’s closing day, the destination will be Modena. The teams will pass through Massa, the Passo del Vestito, Careggine, Vagli, Barga, Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, the Passo delle Radici, Frassinoro and Sassuolo. The finish and final awards ceremony will take place in Piazza Roma, followed by the closing evening at the Palazzo Ducale, home of the Military Academy of Modena.

Since 2015, the Modena Cento Ore has taken a responsible approach to environmental protection and sustainability through the CarbonZero project. This initiative plants enough trees to fully offset the carbon dioxide emitted during the event. In addition, a careful choice of suppliers, hotel services and racing partners helps reduce emissions even further.
